TARA + CHRIS’ INDUSTRIAL GLITTERFEST WEDDING

Well, I was so glad to have booked this wedding. It meant I go to go back to Holmes Mill again for a second time this year. This wedding was a real chilled-out and relaxed affair…until the evening.

Tara and her Bridesmaids got ready at Fifty One and a Half Boutique, an exclusive B&B not too far from Clitheroe. Here I just captured the girl’s preparations for the day ahead. I find it great to be involved during the prep as I get to know key people on the wedding day.

When I arrived at the venue, most of the guests had arrived and after capturing a few faces I popped upstairs to see what was happening in the ceremony room. Instantly met with joy when I saw the glitter balls and I knew I wanted to use them somehow later on for some portraits. In no time at all, Tara had arrived at the Mill in a camper van and the guests were making their way into the ceremony room.

ENGINE ROOM CHILL OUT

After a few tears had been shed in an emotional and moving ceremony, it was time for a chill out down in the Engine Room. I like this part of the day where guests start to interact with each other and congratulate the bride and groom on getting married. At this point, people start to forget I’m there and carry on engaging with others, which is perfect for my style of photography.

I pinched Tara + Chris after an hour to grab some seriously cool photos of the two of them and of course, I used the glitter balls. I used a number of locations around the venue, the engine room, the ice cream shop and the main room upstairs. I’m super proud of the images I got of these two and they are definitely one for my online portfolio.

The rest of the day played out just nicely for me, with lots of opportunities to capture some real natural documentary moments for Tara & Chris. The night party became a little insane! After the cutting of the cake, things started to really take off with an awesome first dance, a miming performance from the bridesmaids and multiple cool games of beer pong. It’s safe to say there were probably some sore heads in the morning.

Thanks for taking the time to read, now let’s look at the photos! Massive congrats to Tara & Chris once again, your wedding was a blast!
