A GEORGIAN COUNTRYSIDE WEDDING VENUE

Stylish wedding celebrations at their best for a Rookery Hall wedding photography day out for Emma & Martyn. I do really like getting to country-style wedding venues to capture the relaxed vibe amongst breathtaking views. I enjoyed the challenge to naturally capture and also find and seek out potential spots around this Georgian house to make use of for my work. Situated in Nantwich, Cheshire, Rookery Hall feels like it’s in the middle of nowhere for that intimate and exclusive feel for great times and a right good celebration with all your guests.

ROOKERY BRIDAL PREPARATIONS

My day started at bridal preparations where Emma, her mum & dad and bridesmaids chilled out with prosecco whilst getting their hair and make-up done by Becca Brown & Amour Beaute. I was able to photograph all the goings on without missing a moment at this elegant, rural wedding venue. I always try to capture different angles during bridal prep as I have a bit of time, and it’s easier to be creative at this point as everyone has gotten used to being around me.

FUN & RELAXED WITH A TOUCH OF EMOTION

I noticed from arriving that Emma was very excited about getting married and it was hard to tell if there were going to be any teary emotions over her pure giddiness. Turns out there was lots of emotion at this wedding and not just from Emma. I don’t think I’ve seen so many guests cry at a wedding before! The ceremony and speeches were filled with personal touches, especially from Emma’s sister who wrote a touching and funny poem.

The guests at this wedding were on point! They continually made me laugh whilst capturing them all and there were quite a few funny moments, one including a guy falling over a wall and one where a pigeon landed on the singer’s head ( Inspire Choir). Just wait until you see the dance floor shots! This Wigan lot took it to a new level with some crazy dance floor antics that rocked.

Emma & Martyn hired the best vendors to help make their wedding just as they wanted it. Eventures Venue Dressing made a super job of the ceremony room and main room with some amazing flower table centres, not to mention Emma’s classy bridal bouquet. Wow, what a cake! Creme del a Creme did a stunning job of creating the perfect wedding cake for these two. And to finish the night off by rocking the socks off the dance floor, The Warning Tones made sure there wasn’t a person sitting with an unbelievable performance of alternative music.

Emma & Martyn were feeling what I was trying to achieve with my photography and went along with my direction for their couple’s portraits. We made magic and I even got them to squash their faces against a glass door for some laughs! I took some really cool photos from this wedding and will be using a lot of them to show off in my portfolio.
