CELEBRATING IN A TIPI

Join me now for some sensational Tipi Wedding Photography in Lancashire. Well, it’s hard to start with how good of a wedding to photograph this was! It was truly an amazing day from start to finish. It’s been a few years since I shot a Tipi wedding and oh man, have I missed the vibes from this kind of wedding and what it brings to the day. Laura & Lloyd made their wedding look absolutely outstanding with all the effort that was put into it. I’m incredibly lucky I got the chance to be a part of this day and manage to capture all of the day’s events. Laura and Lloyd booked me to photograph their wedding on the back of one of their friend’s weddings I shot the year before at Meols Hall.

The tipi was set up at Lloyd’s parent’s house, in a mini field next to the house, which had plenty of space for everyone to fit in, as well as all of the other wedding-related decorations that were hired to make this wedding superb. The attention to detail on this wedding was off the scale! I remember coming back from the church to be met with such a vibrant, summer-themed wonder and Nick, The videographer and I didn’t know where to start first!

VIBRANT FESTIVAL-THEMED WEDDING

One thing about this wedding that automatically stands out is how colourful it was! The colour was brought to the wedding by all of the stunning flower arrangements all the way through the wedding day. There wasn’t any point during this wedding where flowers hadn’t been considered. The Church, tipi, cars, garden entrance and giant swing were carefully considered with floral wonders to make the wedding pop. I have to take my hat off to Living Colour who created floral masterpieces for Laura & Lloyd. Laura opted for a relaxed summer vibe for her wedding theme, with no uniformity of the tables, and decorations that gave a sense of character & style. I also have to mention Lloyd’s mum at this point, who had a real helping hand and pushed her design skills by orchestrating the many elements of the wedding together. She even designed the table place numbers and napkins with all of the guests’ names on them, some mean feat!

FUN SUMMER WEDDING

This was an incredibly fun wedding to shoot, especially all of Laura & Lloyd’s friends who are all crazy-cool! I really liked these guys, they really knew how to have a great time which helped make such a fantastic party atmosphere. There was a swing built especially for the wedding, just outside the Tipi. This provided a great ‘fun’ attraction with everyone having a go on it. At one point, two groomsmen fell off it! Things like this really encourage people to relax more at weddings, and as a photographer who is trying to capture fun and laughter, I find attraction pieces are important to create the right mood for guests.

These guys also hired a band to play for their evening, which I absolutely love at weddings! There ain’t nothing like a band to kick-start the dance floor and ignite the disco dancing. The band were named ‘Hipster’, from ‘Alive Network’ and they rocked the hell out of the evening! The evening celebrations didn’t just end with a band, these dudes went all out and did a sparkler walk through all of their guests! Phenomenal fireworks also appeared at this point, which led to some fire writing to be lit by Laura & Lloyd to celebrate their new wedding name, the ‘Crosbies’.
