WEDDING PHOTOGRAPHY AT THE DEAF INSTITUTE

Check out my freaking awesome Deaf Institute wedding photos for Cat & Russell. As alternative weddings go…this was an absolute smashing day. When I met up with Cat & Russell and they told me all about their plans at this Manchester music venue, I was getting all excited. This pair are really alternative, so I knew I was going to be in my shooting element capturing their moments and all their ideas.

ALTERNATIVE MANCHESTER WEDDING VENUE

This historic 1878 building situated in the heart of metropolitan Manchester was originally a school for the deaf. Now this independant and fun loving venue plays hosts to music events and weddings. Inside this venue gives of a weird and wonderful vibe with a load of photo locations. Its a big and bold building and is well suited to documentary photography style considering all the framing options you can aqquire with the furniture inside.

WEDDING PHOTOGRAPHY AT THE DEAF INSTITUTE

Before the ceremony at the Deaf Institute, I attended the preparations where Russell & Cat both got ready together in a nearby hotel. They had numerous family and friends around all getting ready together. In my documentary style, I floated around the partment capturing all natural moments for this section of the day. They hired Belle Vue Buses to take everyone to the Deaf Institue where they hired the music hall upstairs to get married in. Dogs at weddings! Cat & Russell brought their dog along to watch them get married inside this quirky venue, he even came dressed with a pink bow tie. After the confetti was thrown and these two walked down the ailse to continue the party downstairs in the bar area. I also took opportunity to take them away during this point to get some artistic portraits of the two in the city streets of Manchester.

After the congratulations from the guests and the eating of the canape’s and drinking champagne were complete, it was time to head off to bus which took everyone to Hope Mill. The rest of the days celebrations took place at this theatre style venue where Hip Hop Chip Shop turned up to feed all of the guests. Again, this was another cool feature to the day with this alternative way of feeding everyone whilst blasting out some R ‘n’ B Music.
