PHOTOGRAPHY AT THE MANOR
Welcome to my first time visiting Falcon Manor for some Wedding Photography. Nicola & Josh chose this country house venue sat in the beautiful landscape of Settle, in the Yorkshire dales to celebrate their wedding day. My Falcon Manor Wedding Photography trip turned out to be a great day filled with lots of great moments and photography opportunities. It was a November wedding when I visited this fully restored, glamorous and stylish venue! I really thrive on the severity of directional light available at this time of the year, especially when it comes pouring through the large windows in this wedding venue. The autumn light also helps me be a little more creative with my style, making stunning wedding images.
ALL DAY PHOTOGRAPHY
Nicola & Josh had me photograph every point of their day from the morning preparations until the evening party making sure all the key moments were captured. I actually captured Nicola’s sister’s wedding, Jenny & James earlier on in the year at another James places wedding venue, Eaves Hall. Falcon Manor proved to be an extremely cosy wedding venue with characteristics of everything countryside with contemporary twists, including a crackling fire, Antlers, and beautiful views.
Nicola & Josh decided to get married at church which divided the day up nicely to provide a different setting for the collection of photographs. They decided to get married at St Stephen’s in Skipton, which was a little drive away but was really worth it as the church proved to be a nice bit of architecture. After we headed back to Falcon Manor where the guests were greeted by a saxophonist and canapés to get them in the party mood.
PHOTOGRAPH OPPORTUNITIES
This privileged house has an abundance of character and there are many places inside and out to get the most out of your photos. I decided to make use of the magnificent stairwell for some bride shots before I went outside to use the courtyard in my images. During the evening, Falcon Manor helped Nicola & Josh light sparklers with all of their guests whilst I got an opportunity to capture the moment of drunkenness pyrotechnics.
I thoroughly enjoyed my first trip out for Falcon Manor Wedding Photography and would definitely snap up the opportunity to shoot there again. Please find links below to all the suppliers Nicola & Josh used to help make a brilliant wedding day. Enjoy the images!
