BARN WEDDING PHOTOGRAPHY
My first visit to Pryors Hayes for some Wedding Photography. Childhood sweethearts, Ellie & Martyn decided to choose this fairytale barn wedding venue surrounded by stunning parkland in the heart of the Cheshire countryside. Pryors Hayes is a visually stunning wedding venue with a real natural look to it. Wood cladding, solid oak beams and exposed Cheshire brick provide a clean rustic feel and an elegant interior provides an excellent scene for wedding photography.
The wedding venue is joined by the picturesque celebration gardens which are full of character and perfect to capture your wedding in. They can be used for the wedding turnaround or for even to have the ceremony in, Which Ellie & Martyn did.
This was such a brilliant day to be a part of, watching the overly excited Ellie & Martyn finally getting married after being together since school.

GETTING READY AT THE OAK
My day started at The Royal Oak in Kelsall which isn’t too far away from Pryors Hayes Wedding Venue. I met up with a very excited Ellie along which her mum and dad, and her two bridesmaids. A very relaxed part of the day capturing the usual aspects of bridal prep, hair, dress, shoes and lots of smiles and laughing. I spent just enough time to capture all the details before I headed off to the venue to continue with my Pryors Hayes Wedding Photography.

CHESHIRE WEDDING VENUE
I was instantly taken away by how nice Pryors Hayes wedding venue looked. Being a fairly new wedding venue, the building appears very fresh and clean. The surrounding courtyard areas which lead you all around the venue are perfect also. I arrived in good time to capture all the guests arriving and watch Martyn throw his arms around them all! Ellie & Martyn decided to get married outside in the garden area, which is super cool and I’m glad I could capture at least one outdoor ceremony this year. The arrangement of the chairs finished with a decoration of hessian made for a rustic look.
The sun was beaming which instantly puts everyone in a great mood for a good old summer wedding. You really can’t beat the feel of a summer wedding and how people have a great time chilling in the sun. People started to take their seats just as Ellie and the bridal party arrived at the venue. At this point, I was quick in taking my opportunity to take quick few shots of Martyn before he got to see Ellie walk down the aisle with her dad. During the ceremony, these two looked over the moon and couldn’t stop smiling and looking at each other. It was a very pleasant ceremony that finished off with them both getting covered in confetti as they walked down the aisle together and up to the venue doors.

PHOTOGRAPHY AT THE BARN
Lucy Mehew, a really cool guitarist and vocalist entertained the guests as they congratulated the newlyweds on their way into the venue. Lots of hugs and smiles! I decided to let people get their drinks before I went on to do a large group and family photos. After the formals, I took Ellie & Martyn off for about 20 minutes to capture some amazing shots of them both. I used the venue’s grounds to my advantage to get some artistic and fun shots for these guys. We also hopped on to some golf buggies each and drove off down to the nearby pond to get some more couple shots which included the stunning scenery of the location. I am very happy with the shots I got here for my Pryors Hayes Wedding Photography.

THE EVENING
After some incredible and emotional speeches from Ellie’s Dad, Martyn and his brother, people began to get in full swing of having a great time. One table, in particular, was insanely fun to capture as they were playing a game of ‘Buck Eye’, which results in downing drinks if you aren’t on cue. Being in the summer season meant I was able to carry on using natural light for a better documentative approach through most of the evening, which enables me to go more unnoticed than if I used flash on my camera. The evening officially kicked off with wedding entertainer Callum Mac singing the first dance song ‘Rusted Root – Send Me On My Way’, a song which is very fitting for these two dudes. During the first dance, some of the guests set off some confetti canons which showered Ellie & Martyn with paper circles.
The evening party was one of the best I’ve come across, the dance floor was red hot all night long. Some sick dance moves were on display for all to see, and I was in the thick of it! I’m stoked to have been able to capture all the moments for these two and their best day ever! I’m very much looking forward to my next visit here to do some more Pryors Hayes Wedding Photography.
